About

The Church St. Elizabeth of Portugal is the patron saint of a unique church in Goa, India. The church dates all the way back to the sixteenth century. Storms caused it to need to be rebuilt a few times, but it is still sturdy today.

In July, they commemorate St. Elizabeth on a special day every year. The church is a part of a group of between 2,000 and 3000 people who gather to worship and carry out good deeds. Throughout the week, numerous groups assist with various activities.
