The Amarnath Temple is one of the most revered tourist spots in India. It lies at an elevation of 12,760 feet above sea level. The cave is located in the Himalayas and has a high concentration of ice. Each year, hundreds of devotees travel to the Amarnath Cave to see the natural ice Lingam associated with Lord Shiva. When the ice Lingam is present, the temple is only accessible for a brief time each year between July and August.
