Sabarmati Ashram is like a very peaceful place next to a river called Sabarmati River. It’s in a city called Ahmedabad and it’s super important because it’s where Mahatma Gandhi, a very famous leader, lived and did a lot of important things during the time when India was trying to become independent from British rule.

Now, this ashram, which is like a special place, is like a museum. Inside, they have different parts that show you different things about Mahatma Gandhi’s life. There are paintings and pictures that tell you about the things he did. You can even see some letters that he wrote to other important people back then.

Inside the ashram, there’s a library with lots of books about Mahatma Gandhi’s life and the things that happened during the time when India was fighting for freedom. They also have books and magazines in English, Gujarati, and Hindi.

Oh, and there’s a special cottage called Hriday Kunj, where Mahatma Gandhi used to live. You can see his things there, like his famous spinning wheel. The ashram also has other places like Vinobha Mira Kutir, Udyog Mandir, and Upasana Mandir.

It’s not too far from the railway station and the airport, just about 7 kilometers away.
