The best time to visit is when the weather is nice, like from March to May and October to December.

The monastery is open from 8 in the morning until 5 in the evening, so you have plenty of time to explore.

When you visit, you should wear nice and respectful clothes, like when you dress up for a special occasion.

And it’s important to be quiet and polite inside the monastery, so you don’t bother the monks who are busy with their prayers.

Phodong Monastery is known for being one of the most beautiful monasteries in a place called Sikkim. It’s also one of the six most important monasteries there. Lots of monks, more than 250 of them, live there.
