Jaisalmer Fort, also known as Sonar Quila or the Golden Fort, is one of the most iconic landmarks in Rajasthan. Built in 1156 AD by Rawal Jaisal, the fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and stands majestically amidst the vast Thar Desert. Its golden sandstone structure glows brilliantly under the sun, giving it a mesmerizing appearance, especially at sunrise and sunset.
