In the old part of Jhansi, there’s a Ganesh Temple in Ganesh Bazaar. A long time ago, a king named Raja Gangadharrao got married to a young girl there. After the wedding, the girl’s name changed to Rani Laxmibai.

This temple is really old, maybe built around the 1760s, but we’re not sure who exactly built it. Some say it was built by Vishwas Rao Lakshman, and others think it might have been Raghunathrao Newalkar.

Nowadays, the temple is important for the people in Jhansi. Inside, there’s a statue of Lord Ganesh, and people come to pray and ask for blessings.

The Ganesh Temple is like a treasure from history, and it’s famous because a queen’s name changed here. People still love to visit and feel happy when they go there.
