Elephanta Caves are like a magical place on an island in Mumbai, India. These caves have special temples and sculptures made out of rocks that are many years old. People made them a very long time ago to show their love for Lord Shiva.

The caves are named after a big stone elephant that used to be there. Inside the caves, there are amazing sculptures of gods and goddesses, like Lord Shiva dancing and even a special sculpture with three faces! People take a ferry to get to the island and then explore the caves to see the beautiful carvings and art. It’s a special place where people can learn about history and art from a long time ago.
