BBD Bagh used to be called Dalhousie Square and it’s a very old and important place in Kolkata, India. It’s named after three important people from a long time ago – Sir David Baird, Sir Henry Dundas, and Sir Gilbert Elliot.

This place is right in the middle of Kolkata, near a big river called Hooghly River. It’s special because a long time ago, the British people who were in charge used to do important work here.
