About
Samthar is a place not far from Jhansi, with a big fort that looks like a castle. The fort is really unique because it’s built in a mix of two different styles – one from Bundelkhand and one from France!
A long time ago, a brave person named Samsher Khan built a small fort here to keep everyone safe. Later, it became part of a bigger kingdom. The fort has lots of walls, and even a moat like a water circle, to stay strong and safe.
Inside the fort, there’s a house that looks like those in Europe. There are also pretty temples and a well with steps. People have fixed the well to make it nice again.
Even though a lot of time has passed, the Samthar Fort is still strong and beautiful. It reminds us of the time when brave warriors protected this place.
Entry Fee (Subject to Change): Indian Rs.5 and Foreigner Rs. 100
