The Government Museum in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, is a place full of old things that help us learn about history.

It started a long time ago in 1851. Inside the museum, you can find many interesting items like statues made of bronze, sculptures from Amaravati, ancient weapons from Tanjore, coins, old writings, and even fossils.

There’s also a big library called Connemara Public Library with lots of books. People like to visit the museum to see all these things and learn about the past and the art of the region.
