About
Padri Ki Haveli, or St. Mary’s Church, is a very old and special church in Patna, India. It was built a long time ago, in 1772. The church looks really pretty with a mix of Indian and European styles.
The church is named after a kind priest named Father Joseph Tiefenthaler, who people called “Padre Sahib” or “Padri.” He was very smart and helped learn about the history of Bihar.
Inside the church, there are beautiful pictures and sculptures about God. There’s also a tall tower with a bell. People who believe in Christianity have been coming here to pray and feel peaceful for a very, very long time.
This church is like a treasure because it shows how people believed and prayed a long time ago in Patna. It’s a special place that people visit to feel close to God and see something very old and pretty.
