These buildings were like their big homes where they worked and lived. But during a big fight called the Indian Rebellion in 1857, they were stuck there for many months. They didn’t leave even when things were tough.

Now, the place is like a treasure box of memories. It’s turned into a museum where you can see old things, like pictures, papers, and stuff that tells stories about that time. People take care of this place so we can remember how things were in history.

So, the British Residency is a place that teaches us about the past and how people from different countries lived together a long time ago.
