Kalsubai, the highest peak in Maharashtra, is perfect for a weekend adventure from Mumbai or Pune. The trek starts from Bari village and involves a mix of forest trails and rocky steps. In May, the pre-monsoon season brings clear views of surrounding valleys and forts like Ratangad. Kalsubai Peak, standing tall at 1,646 meters (5,400 feet), is the highest point in Maharashtra. Located in the Western Ghats within the Ahmednagar district, this trek offers panoramic views of the surrounding Sahyadri ranges and forts like Alang, Madan, Kulang, and Ratangad.
