Ghoom Monastery, also known as Samten Choeling Monastery, is one of the oldest and most revered Buddhist monasteries in Darjeeling. Perched at an altitude of 7,470 feet, this serene monastery offers breathtaking views of the surrounding Himalayan ranges. It was established in 1850 by the Mongolian monk Lama Sherab Gyatso and belongs to the Gelugpa sect of Tibetan Buddhism.
