There are two big, beautiful buildings in a place called Karnataka. One is called Vidhana Soudha, and the other one is like its sister, called Vikasa Soudha.
Vidhana Soudha is really huge, just like a big castle, and it’s very famous. Lots of important people work there to make important decisions for the state. It has lots of rooms where they do all their work, kind of like how you have different rooms in your house for different things, like a bedroom and a kitchen.
Now, Vikasa Soudha is like the little sister of Vidhana Soudha. It’s also a big, impressive building, and it has more than 360 rooms inside, just like a big puzzle with lots of pieces. People built it with strong rocks called granite, which is really tough and shiny.
In the year 2004, a very important person called the Karnataka Governor, whose name was T.N. Chaturvedi, came and said, “Okay, Vikasa Soudha, you’re all ready!” And they had a special party to open it up for people to see.
So, Vikasa Soudha is like the little sister of Vidhana Soudha, and it’s also a super cool building where important things happen in Karnataka. Just like how you have a special bond with your sister or brother, these two buildings are like family too.
