The Shri Gorakhnath Temple in Gorakhpur is a special place where people go to pray to Lord Shiva. It’s named after a wise saint named Gorakshanath. The temple is really important to many people, and they come here to worship and do special ceremonies.
The temple looks really pretty with lots of designs and a tall pointy part on top. Inside, people can pray and do special things. There’s also a pond where people can take a special bath.

2. Kali mandir
Golghar Kali Mandir is a famous temple of Gorakhpur city. Along with the residents of the district, people from far and wide also come to worship here. Special worship and aarti are performed in the Kali temple during Navratri. In Navratri, apart from the city, people from nearby cities also come to visit to  maa Kali  , offer coconut, and chunri to him, and ask for their desired wishes.

3. Gita Vatika
The Geeta Vatika Shree Radha Krishna Mandir is 5.2 acres temple complex near the Asuran chowk of Gorakhpur, built by religious writer Hanuman Prasad Poddar. The temple houses aesthetically carved statues and idols of Radha and Krishna and ensure that their lives echo throughout the day at the temple under a dedicated canopy. How pleasing to the ears is the sound of slow chant and tales of the divine world! Sanctums of Shiva Parvati and Ram Darbar are on either side of the complex.

4. Tarkulha Devi Mata Mandir
This temple is very famous because of its two features. There used to be a forest in this area where Babu Bandhu Singh of Dumri Riyasat used to live in the forest. He used to worship the goddess by setting up pindis under a tarkul (palm) tree on the banks of the river. Tarkulha Devi was the presiding deity of Babu Bandhu Singh. Bandhu Singh was an expert in guerilla fighting, so whenever any Englishman passed through that forest, Bandhu Singh would kill him and cut off his head and dedicate it at the feet of the Tarkulha Devi Mata.

5. Budhiya Mata Ka Mandir
Budhiya Mata’s temple is situated in the middle of the Kusmahi forest, 12 km east of Gorakhpur district headquarters, the glory of this temple is such that devotees from not only the country but also from abroad come here to visit the mother. According to beliefs, there was a very dense forest in which a stream flowed. There was a wooden bridge over the stream. One day a procession came there and stopped on the east side of the drain.

6. Vishnu Mandir
This temple is the oldest temple of Lord Vishnu in Gorakhpur. Constructed in the 12th century of Pal dynasty period, it is a heritage monument of India. The building is located in the Asuran Chauk area of Gorakhpur. White in color, sitting at a height with many swirling pinnacles at the top.
